2019 and Still No AR Glasses

Why Don't We Have Everyday AR

I feel like every day AR Glasses should be a thing already. I was super stoked for Google's glasses but I was apparently one of the only ones who wanted it. I feel like everyone went into instant paranoia mode about the facial recognition feature which was a problem. Guess what? We have that problem anyways with Facebook and it's blatant disregard for privacy. Google would have been the lesser of the two evils. That in a very roundabout way of thinking it would have been good for humanity to know someone's name as you look at them. That way the idea of not knowing them and being willing to act in negative way towards would maybe be a little bit reduced because you know their name. Like I said, a roundabout way. The rest of the project was so good. Real time directions in front of your face, video calling on the go, and less picking up your phone every two seconds because you hear that ding. Alas this idea has gone to work areas for now. The military, airplane manufacturing, big corporate office meetings. Here's a link to show the idea isn't dead but is being used for the working day.

I'm still hoping one day Google comes back to us with a public version or some other company that doesn't act haphazardly with our data. The uses are out there and AR could be very helpful to the average person. That and maybe for us gamers out there we'll get cool games like in Watchdogs and it's "AR" mini games. I'm personally bored with the likes of Pokemon Go and the the new Harry Potter game. Same idea different franchise with the same local area obstacles. Not very many people equals no content available for you. So please for my sake, don't attack the next AR Glasses you see. Leave your thoughts in the comments down below. Until next time guys and gals.
